What to Order at 6oz, and Why
A short, honest guide to our menu in Ulsoor — what each drink is, who it suits, and what to ask for if you are not sure where to begin.
Why six ounces
Six ounces is a small cup by modern café standards, and that is the point. At that size the espresso is not lost, the milk stays sweet and the drink is still hot when you reach the bottom. Much of our menu is built around getting the ratio right rather than making the cup bigger.
If you drink coffee with milk
- Cappuccino — the most balanced way to meet a new blend. Enough milk to soften it, not enough to hide it.
- Flat white — stronger and less foamy. Order this if a cappuccino usually tastes weak to you.
- Filter coffee — the South Indian decoction, thick and sweet. Our most familiar drink and the one we are asked for first thing in the morning.
If you drink it black
Ask what is on pour-over that day. It is usually a single estate lot, brewed to show what that farm did well, and it changes as lots run out. Cold brew is the other option worth knowing about — steeped long and slow, so it is smooth and low in bitterness even without milk.
Not sure? Say so at the counter and tell us what you normally drink at home. We would rather hand you a taster than sell you the wrong cup.
Something to eat with it
The kitchen keeps things simple: breakfast plates, sandwiches and bakes that work alongside coffee rather than competing with it. The full list, with current prices, lives on the café menu page.

Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu each grow coffee with a different character. Here is how we think about those origins when we choose the lots that end up in our café.
